What is the cut-off time for same-day flower delivery in Dublin?

Order by 1:00 PM for same-day delivery across all of Dublin, 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday.

Can I send same-day flowers to an office or workplace in Dublin?

No — our same-day service cannot guarantee delivery within office hours. Select Next-Day Delivery for office-hours delivery, or email hello@thecrate.ie to switch to a domestic address.

What days do you offer next-day flower delivery across Ireland and Northern Ireland?

Tuesday to Friday, for all products, when you order by 1:00 PM the day before.

Why do you need a matching Eircode and recipient phone number?

So the courier routes correctly on the first attempt and can call the driver's contact if nobody is home.

How do I add or change special delivery instructions after ordering?

Add them in the checkout notes section, or email hello@thecrate.ie before the flowers leave our studio.

3 Steps for a Smooth Delivery

1. Check the Eircode / Postcode

Couriers route strictly by Eircode, so make sure it matches the recipient's exact delivery address. Watch out for browser autofill entering the sender's billing Eircode instead.

2. Recipient's Mobile Number

Always enter a contact phone number for the recipient at checkout. It lets the driver call or text if they need help finding the house or apartment buzzer.

3. Add Special Delivery Instructions

Use the Notes section when ordering to add gate codes, rural directions, or a safe sheltered place to leave the flowers. These notes are passed directly to our delivery providers.

Need to Update Your Order?

Forgot to add special delivery instructions or noticed a mistake in the delivery address? Email our team straight away at hello@thecrate.ie with your order number. As long as your flowers have yet to be collected from our studio, we will happily update your details for the courier.

My flowers arrived in poor condition — what can I do?

Yes — our fresh-flower quality guarantee covers flowers that arrive in poor condition. Just get in touch with a photo of the flowers within 48 hours of delivery and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. You can reach us through the contact form on our support page or email hello@thecrate.ie and our team will be happy to help.

My order was damaged or never arrived — how do you fix it?

Damaged or missing orders are replaced or refunded. Get in touch with your order number and a photo if you have one, and we'll respond within one working day to sort it out. Replacements are usually at the earliest available delivery to you.

Can I cancel or pause my subscription?

Yes — you can pause or cancel your subscription at any time. Just make the change in your account settings, or contact us at hello@thecrate.ie, before your next delivery is dispatched (we send a reminder two days ahead). Changes made after dispatch will apply to the following delivery.

Do you sell gift cards, and how do they work?

Yes — we sell gift cards in a range of amounts. They're delivered by email to the address you give at checkout, usually within a few minutes. Redeem your gift card at checkout by entering the code in the discount field. There is no expiry on gift cards and they are redeemable against any product online so they make the perfect gift for the flower lover in your life!

A few simple steps to get the longest life from your bunch.

How should I condition my flowers when they arrive?

Trim the stems at an angle with a sharp knife, strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline, and stand them in fresh, cool water. Give them a few hours to drink before arranging — that first drink is what keeps the heads standing tall.

How long will my flowers last?

Expect around 7-10 days from a seasonal bunch. Warmer rooms, direct sun and skipped water changes will shorten that, so keep them cool and top up the vase every couple of days.

What is the free vase, and how do I get it?

The vase is included free with our Everyday Flowers DIY Flower Box — no code or extra step needed. It arrives with this product, ready to fill, so you can style and arrange the bunch the moment it lands.

How should I store a DIY kit before arranging?

Keep the kit somewhere cool and out of direct sun, and leave the stems in their water until you are ready to arrange. A shaded corner or a cool room is ideal — just don't let the water run dry.
