Spring has well and truly arrived, and we’ve been loving watching it unfold — both outside and in the studio.
Over the past few weeks, our bunches have been filled with some of our favourite seasonal blooms: soft ranunculus, sculptural tulips, airy chamomile, and the deep contrast of anemones. Every week brings a new palette, a new mix of textures, and a little burst of colour that feels very much like spring.
At The Crate, we design our bunches to feel playful, natural, and a little artistic — flowers that look just as beautiful styled in a vase as they do scattered across a kitchen table while you decide where they belong.
In this post, we wanted to share a few of the blooms we’ve been especially loving lately, along with some of the bunches we’ve been sending out this season that feature them.

The Crate Bunch & Subscription
Our weekly bunches are always different, always fresh, and always thoughtfully curated. Each arrangement draws inspiration from fashion, photography, art, and everyday beauty, translating it into colour, movement, and mood.
We share some of what inspires our palettes weekly on our Instagram, @thecrateflowers.
Every week, our studio becomes a flower-filled world, and the blooms we select are meant to bring joy while highlighting the beauty of seasonal flowers.
If you love the idea of having fresh, seasonal flowers delivered regularly, a The Crate subscription is the perfect way to enjoy that magic at home. Each week brings something new — no repeats, just beautifully curated seasonal blooms ready to brighten your space and inspire creativity.

Ranunculus
Soft, layered, and playful — ranunculus have been a standout in the studio lately.
-
Symbolism: Charm and attractiveness
-
Why we love them: Their soft petals and delicate curves add movement and depth. Their many layers are intricate and eye-catching.

Tulips
One of the first true signs of spring, tulips are simple yet sculptural.
-
Symbolism: Rebirth, renewal, and new beginnings
-
Why we love them: A classic spring bloom that comes in so many interesting varieties. Tulips start shy, but once they open up, they are absolute beauties.

Delphiniums
-
Symbolism: Positivity, cheerfulness, and an open heart
-
Why we love them: Their tall spires give bouquets height and drama. We especially love how they bring in hints of blue.

Anemones
-
Symbolism: Anticipation and elegance
-
Why we love them: Dark centres and delicate petals bring contrast and visual interest. Like tulips, they take time to open up but are a joy to behold once they do.

Chamomile
-
Symbolism: Patience, simplicity, and natural beauty
-
Why we love it: Light and airy, chamomile adds texture and movement, softening the bunches and giving them a playful, whimsical touch

Why Seasonal Flowers Matter
One of the reasons we love working with seasonal flowers is that they keep things constantly changing.
Every week brings something slightly different — new colours, new textures, and flowers that might only be available for a short window of time.
It keeps the bunches feeling fresh, exciting, and connected to the moment in the season.
For us, that’s part of the joy of floristry: working with what nature is offering right now and turning it into something beautiful.

A Little Moment of Spring
Spring flowers have a way of transforming a space, even in the smallest ways.
A handful of fresh stems on a kitchen table, a bunch brightening a living room, or a few flowers placed by a sunny window can completely change the mood of a room.
At The Crate, our goal is simply to celebrate those little moments — bringing seasonal flowers into homes week after week, each bunch a little different from the last.
And in spring, when everything feels like it’s coming back to life, there’s really nothing better.
